Lusesita
A contemporary ceramicist blending sensitivity, fantasy, and craftsmanship to create works that fuse the organic with the surreal.

BIO
Laura Lasheras, known artistically as Lusesita, is an acclaimed Spanish ceramicist born in 1979 in Calahorra, La Rioja. Trained at the School of Arts and Crafts in Zaragoza and later in Barcelona, where she delved into pottery, glazing, and contemporary jewelry, Lusesita has built a career that seamlessly combines the traditional and the experimental.
Her work explores the boundaries between utility and conceptual art, offering a poetic and delicate aesthetic with a touch of unease. Influenced by Art Brut, surrealism, ancient ceramics, and African art, Lusesita connects with her primal side through her hands-on approach to creation. She has found in ceramics the perfect language to express herself, narrating her life’s journey through glazed ceramic figures. Craftsmanship is inseparable from her identity as an artist.
Lusesita has exhibited her work both in Spain and internationally, in cities such as Paris, Monterrey, Tokyo, Washington, Milan, and Seoul. Her pieces are celebrated for their ability to evoke contrasting emotions, from eroticism to romanticism, always provoking a reaction in the viewer.

“Sensitivity is key to connecting with the material and transmitting emotions through ceramics.”
