BIO

Lola Zoido (Zafra, Badajoz, 1994) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work examines the intersection of the physical and digital, investigating how we perceive reality in an era dominated by digital processes. With an approach that merges analytical depth and poetic sensitivity, Lola explores themes such as landscape, territory, and memory, moving beyond traditional physical constraints to create layered realities.

Driven by curiosity and experimentation, her creative process focuses on presenting a personal and reflective vision of the world. She employs both digital tools—AR, VR, 3D—and traditional media like sculpture, embracing a fluid understanding of space where her work can evolve in multiple dimensions. Lola celebrates the aesthetic of the “glitch” and imperfections, using visual errors as artistic resources that symbolize the fragility of digital systems and the complexity of the technological age. Her work reflects our current times, where digital tools not only transform the creative process but also reshape how we experience and relate to art.

Since 2019, she has participated in solo exhibitions at galleries such as Tuesday to Friday (Valencia), Badr El Jundi (Madrid), Galería Ángeles Baños (Badajoz), and Habitación Número (Madrid), as well as group shows at venues like IVAM (Valencia, 2024), Hyperhouse (Madrid, 2023), Di Gallery (Seville, 2022), CADAF (Paris, 2021), and TATE Exchange (London, 2019).

Her work has been featured at fairs and biennials such as ARCO (Madrid, 2023), AR Biennale (Düsseldorf, 2021), and Untitled (Miami, 2023). She has also participated in non-commercial projects, including Cáceres Abierto (2023) and AUPEX (Badajoz, 2022). Her pieces are part of collections such as the MEIAC in Badajoz.

Lola Zoido has been recognized as a finalist for the BMW Digital Art Award (Madrid, 2024) and received the Outstanding Artist Award at Abierto València (2022). Additionally, she has been awarded various residencies and grants, including those at IVAM (Valencia, 2023), Tabakalera (Donosti, 2022), “C3A” (Córdoba, 2019), and “Tabacalera Promoción del Arte” (Madrid, 2017).

“I’m drawn to technological errors because they reflect us within them.”
