Nuria Figueiredo

BIO
Nuria Figueiredo (Ourense, 1986) holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Basque Country and studied Artistic Ceramics at the Municipal School of Arts and Crafts in Vigo.
She currently runs her own ceramics workshop, Casa Chamota, in Pontevedra, where she teaches classes. She is also a member of the Liceo Mutante’s Visual Arts Committee.
Between 2011 and 2013, she co-directed A Fabriquería (Tui), a multidisciplinary space where she organized concerts, exhibitions, and workshops. From 2014 to 2018, she was part of Estudio Pacheco in Pontevedra.
Her work has been selected twice for the Aveiro International Ceramics Biennial, and in 2020, she won the Novos Valores de Pontevedra competition.
In addition to being a ceramicist and illustrator, she is also the mother of two children.
